Special Visits

March 16, 2017 by eroberts

We have had another busy week in Class 2. On Monday some of us had the chance to go out and visit another school for a play session. We went to Great Arley School to join one of their classes for an hour in the morning. We took part in painting and other mark making activities, went outside and played on the equipment, played with train sets, took part in a shop and post office role play scenario, read books and many other activities. We really enjoyed exploring their classroom and the outside space. It was wonderful to see one of our old friends and we hope the relationship between the two classes continues and who knows during the summer term we may even arrange for a ‘picnic.’

On Tuesday afternoon we had a group come into school to teach us about road safety. Using songs and games they explained that we are in the area of the country with the highest rate of accidents to children. It was great fun and we thoroughly enjoyed our learning and found this to be a very beneficial session.

Have a good weekend and we look forward to hearing your news on Monday.

Love Class 2 x x x 🙂

HOMEWORK TASK: The homework task this week is linked to our PSD work. We have been learning how to make good choices and we would like to see some photographs of the children making good choices over the weekend. For example if they share something, put away their cups or choose what to play with nicely. It would also be great if all those children who have a reading book could read this weekend and that you write in their reading record how they got on.
